Cover - Rough Sketches
I was asked to illustrate a gender neutral character feeling comfortable and safe. I thought of situations that made me feel that way in my own life. Finally an outdoor setting with a full body character was selected.
Central Spread
It was late 2020 and I was asked to do an illustrated essay on feeling safe at home. During that year, my partner, our dog and the daily practices we built together were what made me feel the safest:
Snuggling with the dog on the couch
Taking care of plants
Slowing down
The smell of homemade coffee
Drawing and writing
